More than a thousand years ago a small fleet of longships braved the stormy waters between Iceland and Greenland.
INFO - December 2017:
Viking Raid has decided to postpone Viking Raid - South Greenland, 2018 from August 2018 to August 2019, due to administrative, logistic and crew challenges in the planning.
We want the first Viking Raid in South Greenland to be successfull, so we can keep on carrying out the race in South Greenland with great interest in the years to come.
Viking Raid has to be a success for participants as well as for crew/volunteers, sponsors and partners.
We hope you understand our decision and that you will continue supporting our race in 2019, as you did with our planes for 2018.
See you in South Greenland in 2019.

Viking Raid South Greenland
Where: South Greenland

Race Distance: (Coming)
South Greenland is a land of jagged mountains and green pastures where sheep farms directly border ice fjords, and Norse settlement history intersects with modern Greenlandic fishing and hunting communities.
Fresh vegetables, natural hot springs on a remote island, big wall climbing, and fjord kayaking abound in South Greenland.
Dirt roads and hiking trails between farming communities, and a great band of sea ice flowing straight down from the northern seas are all unique South Greenlandic elements. - read more about South Greenland...
